Chris Paul thriving on the Plant-Based Diet

CP3 looks like a man possessed to win his first NBA title. Despite playing in the NBA for over 15 seasons, this is the closest he has come to winning an NBA championship. The Suns took light note of the Nuggets, as they swept past them 4-0 in their playoff series. Despite all of that, Chris Paul spoke about the importance of his diet change in how it had helped him compete with younger players. Speaking to Men’s health, Paul spoke about how he changed his eating habits.

“I chose a plant-based life. So far, so good. Not easy. But for me, it’s working. I started plant-based in June. I went cold turkey. I tell you: I was itching. I thought I needed a chicken wing or something. But somehow I made it through,” said Paul.

The commitment to the cause is quite remarkable by CP3.

Significantly, he spoke about being fit to hustle the younger players in the league. The plant-based diet is a trend these days as there are results showing improved living standards, as well as being able to have a lesser recovery rate regarding injuries or body aches. This proves why Paul is an example to younger generations.

Paul and the Suns are leading the way

Coach Monty Williams has silently assembled a world-class team that has ample depth and quality. With Devin Booker, they have a generational talent amongst their ranks. Adding Chris Paul to the mix gives you a dangerous backcourt combo that has run rings around the other teams this season. Similarly, Cp3’s leadership skills have come to the forefront this season as his competitive nature is being passed onto his teammates.

In the series against the Denver Nuggets, Paul averaged 25.5 points, 5 rebounds, and 10.3 assists per game in what was a spell-binding series, for the Suns. Notably, he scored 37 points in game 4 to take the Suns home, hence proving his value to the team.
