In light of Curry’s near fifty-point performance, Kevin Durant stated that coach Kerr and the Warriors should have let Curry reach the 50 point milestone since he was very close to that mark.

During a recent episode of ‘The ETCs with Kevin Durant and Eddie Gonzalez’ podcast, Durant stated that Steve Kerr and the Warriors should have let Curry finish the game against the Wizards with 50 points.

“Yeah, you got to let him get to 50, bro. I mean, you gonna let him get to 49, you might as well let him get to 50,” said KD.

“That 50 point mark sounds way better,” he added.

Clearly, KD believes that Steve Kerr should have let Curry continue. With nearly 2 minutes left on the clock, Curry would be subbed out with 47 points to his name. Moreover, it was his birthday that night. So 50 points on his birthday would have made it a storybook ending.

Regardless, the Warriors got the win against the Wizards. And when the big picture is looked at, it’s the wins that matter the most.

However, in a recent matchup against the Celtics, Curry would get injured and step out of the game. In his absence, the Warriors have not enjoyed much success. They fell short in unexpected fashion to the Orlando Magic, which led to a 3 game losing streak. However, they bounced back with a strong win over the Miami Heat.
