Giannis Antetokounmpo, aka the Greek Freak, is arguably the best player in the world, all at the age of 26. Giannis, coming off the highs of a championship less than a week ago, has already publicized his goals to run it all the way back once again in 2022. In fact, the Greek superstar is already looking to the future, aiming to add to a trophy cabinet already holding 2x MVPs, 1 DPOY, 1 Title and F-MVP.
But, taking over as the face of the league will have to wait. Having won his first title just over 10 days ago, Antetokounmpo is already back across the Atlantic. The Greek Freak is the perfect example of the ideal family man in the modern NBA. Additionally, with the remaining 2 Antetokounmpo brothers joining Kostas as NBA champions, there will be no awkward dinners this time around!
Giannis Antetokounmpo is back in Greece: "I don't care about being the face of the NBA. KD or Harden can be. I want to be with my kids and my family, i want to win and enjoy the game. I want to be Giannis the hard worker".

Giannis Antetokounmpo not after the “face of the NBA” tag
Giannis recently addressed all the noise surrounding the different tags he will enter next season with. Having averaged 35.2ppg/13.2rpg in his 1st NBA Finals, Antetokounmpo now arguably stands face to face with the likes of LeBron James and Kevin Durant.
And even though injuries marred this season, Antetokounmpo has ascended to the next level. His 2021 season now justifies the argument for putting him on equal footing in the debate over best player in the world.

Debate or not, Antetokounmpo has made his stance clear. Giannis isn’t troubled about entering next season as Number 1. In fact, following the return of the prodigal son in Athens, the reigning Finals MVP said “I don’t care about being the face of the NBA. KD or Harden can be.”
The former MVP reiterated that his sole focus would be to get the work in. Whether it were in the weight room or on court, the only way is forward. Focusing on recovery, spending the invaluable time with the family this summer will be priority numero uno!
Antetokounmpo also took to twitter, as he announced their return home bringing the title gold to Europe – “We come and bring the cup !!”
