Kevin Durant’s Feelings on James Harden Trade to Sixers Finally Revealed

There has been a plethora of speculation regarding the future of James Harden in the Brooklyn Nets. James Harden did not sign the extension with Brooklyn Nets. Many fans have speculated that a trade to the Philadelphia 76ers is possibly on the cards.
The trade to the Sixers would be amazing for the franchise. Any trade to Sixers would revolve around Ben Simmons. Therefore, Sixers would get rid of Ben Simmons, who does not wish to play. Moreover, the franchise would get one of the best Shooting Guards in the league.
However, this puts a lot of pressure on the Nets. On an episode of NBA Countdown Adrian Wojnarowski has revealed that Kevin Durant wishes that Harden would stay in Nets. Additionally, it has also been reported that the Nets are open to trading Harden before the trade deadline ends (i.e February 10th).

Kevin Durant seems to be against this idea. Durant realizes the effect a player like James Harden can have and does not wish to lose him. Durant has been chasing a ring ever since he left the Golden State Warriors. However, he knows it will not be possible without Harden.
Kevin Durant has said that he wants “Everyone in Brooklyn to be as committed to winning a title as he is”. He is expected to return soon after the All-Star break. Durant is now focused and is only thinking about how to win the championship ring. [h/t basketball.realgm]

Durant realizes the effect Harden has on the Nets. Chiefly, that’s why he does not want to let him go. Currently, Kyrie Irving is also out for all the home games as he is not vaccinated. Durant is quite literally one of the best players in the league. He has the potential to carry an entire team on his shoulders, however, Harden’s presence is essential.
