Kobe Bryant’s Pettiest Moment Against LeBron James Came in front of Ex-POTUS Barack Obama, Reveals Former NBA Veteran: “Wouldn’t Even Acknowledge”

Kobe Bryant was one hell of an athlete. Few, if any, could match the accolades he won and the glories he attained. His unreal work ethic made an impact on the NBA world. However, some of his activities might make him look a little selfish. Former NBA veteran Joakim Noah witnessed one such instance of pettiness from Kobe.

In a recent interview with JJ Reddick, Noah revealed how Kobe Bryant was once petty to LeBron James at the birthday party of the former US President, Barack Obama.

Joakim Noah played alongside Derrick Rose in the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls were one of the best teams of the 2010s. As a player in one of the best teams at the time, he recalled how he got the opportunity to play a pick-up game on the 50th birthday of the then-US president, Barack Obama. He revealed how he met Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Derrick Rose along with the former president joining them for a pickup game.

The two-time NBA All-Star found Mr. Obama trash-talking and gave him a couple of bumps here and there in the game to reciprocate his energy. But he saw something intriguing during the game that surprised him.

Noah recalled how he found Kobe Bryant keeping himself distracted after a remarkable on-court move from King James. According to Noah, LeBron stole the ball in the game and went for a dunk on a fast break. But Kobe kept himself distracted from the sight that no one wished to miss.

Noah understood that this was a characteristic of Kobe’s competitive nature. He also felt like Kobe was being petty to LeBron James by not respecting the gameplay of King James. “He didn’t even wanna acknowledge the dunk,” he added. Kobe talking to Noah during a LeBron dunk may also have been an attempt to avoid a poster opportunity.
