Los Angeles Lakers led by LeBron James desperately strived to close out the Memphis Grizzlies as their Playoff series returned to Crypto.com Arena last night for Game 6 and they were successful in doing so. After missing out on the postseason himself, Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving was present in the building among the sea of fans to witness the Lakers clinch a Semi-Finals berth. Former teammates Irving and King James?also shared a moment on the court which, in turn, made fans hopeful of a reunion.

The Los Angeles Lakers won the game by a whopping 40 points (125-85) last night. James was instrumental against the Memphis Grizzlies as he helped his team in every way possible. With the Lakers clicking on all cylinders, they will be vying for Banner No.18.

LeBron James shares a moment with Kyrie Irving

Thousands of fans were present in the Crypto.com Arena to witness the Lakers’ demolition of the Grizzlies. Irving was one of them, though it’s unclear which team he was supporting. A clip shared by Per Sources?on Twitter showcased James interacting with Irving prior to the start of the game.

In the video, the former teammates can be seen embracing each other with their special handshake. This was followed by a hug as the two clearly appreciated each other.

Irving and James are two great friends who played together for the Cleveland Cavaliers for four years. They were instrumental in winning the Cavs franchise’s first-ever NBA championship back in 2016. They were one of the most deadly duos on the court and were supposed to bring more championships to Cleveland. However, it didn’t happen as Ankletaker?left James and co. to join the Boston Celtics in 2017.

NBA buffs became nostalgic after seeing their on-court interaction and therefore wished for a reunion. Apparently, their wish could come true as there’s uncertainty surrounding Irving’s future. He was traded to the Dallas Mavericks prior to the trade deadline, but his contract expires at the end of the current season. The eight-time All-Star will become a free agent this summer and will have the chance to join any team of his choice. So, there’s a possibility of a reunion, though the Mavs recently looked forward to re-signing him this offseason.
