Dennis Rodman made a name for his eccentric and charismatic persona. His fearless attitude was the trademark of who he was on the court. The Worm became a fan favorite with his outbursts and antics. However, before being a carefree spirit, Rodman was arguably reserved and quiet during his time with the Detroit Pistons. As a bad boy, all the two-time Defensive Player of The Year could think about was basketball. And it seems no other sports caught his interest. In a 2017 interview with Brandon Steiner, the five-time champion opened up about his brutal experience at a baseball game in 1986.

After an arguably rough childhood, Rodman got his big break with the NBA. The former Chicago Bulls star had reached the apex getting into the biggest basketball league. Likewise, in his initial years, the two-time Defensive Player of The Year only cared about the game. During his time as a Bad Boy, Rodman would solidify himself as one of the best defenders even earning two DPOYs. Moreover, he was an integral part of their dynasty which won back-to-back championships.

As Rodman sat down with Steiner, his first question was unsurprising. The sports marketer asked Rodman about his stance as a fan of baseball. Closely related to the Yankees, the 63 year old might not have wanted to hear what came out next. Notably, the Worm said he last attended a baseball game in 1986 as a member of the Detroit Pistons. It was there that he quickly realized he isn’t thrilled by the sport. Notably, the five-time champion only lasted until the fifth innings.
