Kevin Durant is an outright superstar of the NBA. At 6’10, KD is a phenom who possesses an extraordinary scoring ability. Despite being injured for several games this season, Durant has been the centerpiece of the Nets and has been pivotal in whatever wins the franchise has earned this season.

Moreover, the big statements that KD has made on the floor through his basketball, has put him in MVP contention this season.

Speaking of big statements, KD made a 3 worded dig at the NBA. This came in light of an offensive foul that was called on Austin Rivers during a game between the Pacers and Nuggets. Thereafter, the Twitterverse went berserk. Although many fans agreed with KD, there were some who trolled the NBA star.

Fans React to Kevin Durant

Following Durant’s statement on the Rivers-Stephenson incident, fans on Twitter went into a frenzy. Many agreed with KD’s view on the foul call being an embarrassing one. Furthermore, many even lashed out at the NBA and its officiating crew, asking them to do better.

On the other hand, many fans trolled KD for his words. They trolled the superstar for his loss in the 2012 finals, his decision to join the Warriors, and the current stature of the Nets this season.

Clearly, KD’s statement received a mixed bag of reactions from the fans. While many agreed with KD’s view, there were just as many who simply trolled the superstar.

When the season began, the Nets were off to a flying start. In fact, at the start of 2022, the franchise had a 23-11 record. However, towards the end of January 2022, the team went on an eleven-game losing streak. Moreover, KD’s injury only worsened the stature of the Nets. The superstar would only return in the first week of March. But by then, the Nets were already in deep waters.

However, since then, things have looked better for the Nets. Despite losing the game on KD’s return and having a 0.500 record, the franchise is slowly climbing back in the East. As of now, they have a 40-36 record and 7 wins in the last 10 games. Moreover, Durant will now have the support of Kyrie Irving, who is cleared to play home games.

Once Ben Simmons returns to the lineup, the Nets will be a deadly team to beat. With the talent and depth on the roster, fans believe that the franchise can lift the title.
