LeBron James is one of the greatest players to ever step on the NBA floor. Drafted in 2003 by the Cleveland Cavaliers, the ‘King’ would put on dominating performances for the team that would make him the city’s beloved son. However, a move to Miami put fans in a frenzy. After winning two titles with the Heat, LeBron would announce his homecoming to Cleveland and it was in this second tenure with the franchise that he delivered on his promise to the city and won an NBA championship.

After spending four seasons with the Cavs, LeBron took his talents to Los Angeles and would reach the NBA summit with the Lakers as well. Furthermore, he even went on to mention that he enjoyed being in LA and hoped to finish his NBA career as a Laker. However, a recent piece of news emerged that indicated a change of heart for LeBron. Fans React to LeBron James’ Possible Move to Cleveland
As the door to a Cavaliers return may have just opened, fans were left confused. They remembered the fact that LeBron once said he wanted to retire as a Laker and questioned the possible change of heart.
Didn’t he say multiple times last season that he wants to retire a laker? Unless it’s one of those trade him to cle right before he retires to Try and get 2 jersey numbers retired like KOBE 🙌
He said the same thing in Cleveland twice, and on miami.

Although this return could be a possible scenario in the 2023 offseason, some fans put forward possible trades that the Lakers could make with the Cavs, in order to enable LeBron’s return.

Clearly, the news regarding LeBron has put fans on the edge of their seats. Like always, the team that he joins automatically becomes a championship contender. This happened when Cleveland first drafted him, and on his homecoming. This season, and without LeBron, the Cavs are playing at an unexpectedly high level. At present, they sit at 4th place in the Eastern Conference. What makes this more amazing is the fact that they have a very young roster. So the potential to succeed for the Cavs is huge!

However, being a young squad devoids the Cavs of the much-needed playoff experience required to succeed. This is where LeBron comes in. If he were to go back home, he can not only mentor this young team but also aid the squad through his scoring, passing, and rebounding. Only time will tell if this return will come to fruition.
