LeBron James Revealed How Many Rounds He Would Last Against Floyd Mayweather

Lakers star LeBron James and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather have been the centers of attention recently. It all began when the latter was snubbed from a list of top male athletes of the decade. Mayweather, who was ranked outside the top-5, believed that he deserved to win over James. Meanwhile, way back in 2017, the 17-time All-star had revealed what the result would be, if he took on the undefeated beast.
The knockout king Mayweather is known to be a fierce competitor. Entering the 2010s, Floyd had an unbeaten 40-0 record. After taking a break, he returned, only to continue his run. For the longest time, the world champion was the richest athlete in the world, and one of the most looked up to. Thus, it is only natural that he deserves to be rated among the decade’s best sportsmen. On the other hand, LeBron is quite the powerhouse himself. So what did he think about a potential match-up against the 1996 Olympic medalist?

LeBron James opined that he’d last less than a round against Floyd Mayweather
Four years ago, Mayweather took on MMA icon Conor McGregor in a high-intensity bout. The now 44-year-old did eventually rally to victory against the Irishman, but not before receiving some painful blows. LeBron, who was in attendance during the match, had some words of sympathy for McGregor. After the defeat, he took to social media to claim that Conor had nothing to be ashamed of. In addition, he also undermined his own fighting abilities.
S/O @TheNotoriousMMA!! Showed you’re a champ and monster in your own right as well. Lot of respect!

LeBron James watched on as Conor was conquered by Floyd, courtesy a 10th round TKO. He opined that McGregor burnt himself out too soon, as he revealed on a TMZ Sports video clip. He also offered him his own words of comfort. Reacting to how long he would last against Mayweather, the 4-time NBA champion claimed that he would drop “in the first round.”
