Following the loss that featured a roster devoid of Westbrook, LeBron sat down for a post-game interview where he responded to a question regarding whether the team faced any ‘mental block.’

“You know, obviously, there’s something that’s weighing on this group that we’re trying to all, you know, get through. It almost feels, like you know, like fog,” said LeBron.

“We’re all trying to see what’s on the other side of it. Obviously, I take today, I take tomorrow, like any other day, and if something changes, then I’ll approach it. But I’m tired as hell right now. I just want to get some wine and get into bed and wake up tomorrow and feel good about what tomorrow has in store. And we’ll see what happens,” he explained.

Can the Lakers bounce back?

Clearly, LeBron and the Lakers seem to be having a difficult time getting wins to push their ranking higher. But what makes matters worse is the trade deadline. If the franchise does decide to make some changes, it’s now or never. Furthermore, if they also decide to offload Westbrook, they will have to look for a team that can take up Russ’ salary, which, of course, is quite difficult.

Maybe the Lakers will up the ante and make trades for players that will suit LeBron’s style of play. Or maybe we might even see an overhaul of the roster like the Cavaliers did, back in 2018. Or maybe we might not see anything happen for the Lakers before the deadline.

Regardless, it’s go time for LeBron. If there’s a better time to win, it’s now, considering LeBron’s age. One thing is certain, the ‘King’ must use his leadership to push as hard as possible for the Lakers’ 18th title.
