James Harden has been one of the best players in the past decade. ‘The Beard’ has played for many teams in his career and is currently playing with the Philadelphia 76ers alongside the All-star center Joel Embid. The 76ers are among the teams in serious contention for the championship. A millionaire rapper and long-time friend of Harden, Young Thug echoed his sentiments regarding the team and extended his support to Harden recently.

James Harden joined the Philadelphia 76ers via trade between the Brooklyn Nets and the 76ers. Brooklyn traded Harden to Philly, in exchange for the point guard Ben Simmons, packaged into a mega-deal involving other players as well.

Following the trade, the 76ers were considered favorites to make it out of the east. Moreover, Joel Embid had an MVP-level season and one of the greatest scoring seasons by a center in league history. But come the postseason, the team failed to make a run and was eliminated in the second round of playoffs by the Miami Heat.

Long-time friend, Millionaire rapper Young Thug extended support to James Harden and the 76ers

Young Thug is one of the many celebrity friends of James Harden. The veteran southpaw often hangs out with the millionaire rapper. Subsequently, Harden has been seen endorsing Thug’s works on multiple occasions.

The Atlanta rapper echoed his opinion of the 76ers on Social Media. He extended his support to Harden and asked him to “Get the ring this year”. Harden, who had a great opening night in the NBA 2022-23 season, replied to the tweet with a bold claim by saying, “I gothcu twin.” NBA fans have taken to Twitter to troll the 76ers starlet for the same.

The Philadelphia 76ers are stacked with talent in all positions. The team has a real shot at the championship this year. Though the addition of James Harden did not result in immediate success last year, their chances this year have significantly increased.

The Beard agreed to take on a smaller contract to create space for the 76ers to sign key players. Moreover, the arrival of the rising star Tyrese Maxey has proved to be a godsend for the team. The biggest hurdles in the way of Philadelphia will be the Bucks and the Celtics. The 76ers will have to overcome Giannis’s Bucks and the dynamic duo of Boston to reach the promise land that is the NBA finals.
