As per the Lakers roster, James and Davis currently hold the small forward and power forward positions respectively. Beyond the restricted roles, James is the one making calls on the court, more like a point guard. He’s mostly seen having the ball in his hands. On the other hand, AD has always been into a swift role at the deep rather than a powerful setup at the center.

New changes for Los Angeles Lakers

As of now, former Wizards All-Star Russell Westbrook is on the team and that becomes three dominant players for the Lakers. LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook are another Big 3 of the league. And now it’s a challenge for Frank Vogel to fit them together.

In his recent tweet, the 5-time NBA champion Magic Johnson suggests Lakers a key strategy. The point guard position will be reserved for Westrbook in the next season. In accordance with him, Johnson told, The Lakers best team has Anthony Davis at the 5 spot and LeBron James at the 4″, which means, Davis at the center and James as a power forward.

This positioning is the expected change that the Lakers will be making in the 2021-22 season. But again, Bron will be seen with the ball a lot more than a strictly power-forward role.

How will LeBron James and Anthony Davis lead a star-studded lineup?

The 4-time NBA MVP will be leading the roster of star players including Carmelo Anthony, Russell Westbrook, Dwight Howard, and Rajon Rondo. With such a power-packed bunch, Bron and AD will be sacrificing their spots for accommodating other key players.
