Michael Jordan conquered the NBA hardwood with his otherworldly skill set and ferocious competitive spirit. However, given ‘His Airness’ competitive nature, it begs the issue of how he satisfies his winning cravings and channels his competitive energy after retirement. The answer is quite simple: pick another sport that is less physically demanding.

MJ might have set his hooping powers to rest, but he has discovered the same adrenaline thrill in another sport. His love for golf is well-documented. Jordan previously stated in an interview with Stephen Curry that the sport has kept him sane from a competitive aspect. He even went ahead to call it the hardest sport there is.

Jordan found insurmountable success on the NBA court. However, the same cannot be said about his performance in his own tournament. In the years that the competition was held, he only won it twice. Once in 2011, when he teamed up with his former Bulls teammate Toni Kukoc and the other win was in 2006, when he joined forces with Tom Brady.

Brady received the invite to the tournament and got the chance to team up with Michael Jordan himself. The star-studded pairing of Jordan and Brady surged to a two-shot victory in the tournament. MJ’s former NBA rival and good friend, Charles Barkley, also took part in the tournament, teaming up with renowned baseball pitcher John Smoltz.

Following leading the first round, Tom Brady said that he was in awe of what Jordan was doing out there. He also said, “for a big guy, he’s got soft hands”.
