Michael Jordan Vacations With Wife Yvette Prieto and Young Son in Exotic Location

Michael Jordan has been with his current wife, Juan Yvette Prieto for almost a decade. He, along with Prieto and their twins, were in Los Cabos, Mexico, enjoying their summer vacations. The NBA legend was comfortable wearing a grey T-shirt and shorts to beat the heat there.

He was pretty happy spending time with his family on the balcony of their hotel suite. His wife too was pretty happy wearing a white long sleeve coverup. Summer vacations, hence, have come at the right time.

Jordan, 59 first met Yvette Prieto, 42 in a Miami nightclub in 2008. She used to be a model and worked with designer Alexander Wang. Prieto also was in a documentary called, “Cuba: An Island Apart”. She used to date Spanish singer Julio Iglesias Jr. She and Jordan moved in together in 2009.

After that, they got engaged in 2011. In April 2013, Jordan and Prieto got married at the at Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church. Their twin daughters, Victoria and Ysabel were born in February 2014.

Prieto is also stepmother to Jordan’s older children Jeffrey, 33, Marcus, 31, and Jasmine, 29 from Jordan’s marriage with Juanita Vanoy. This has led to a big family for the legendary player. Jasmine welcomed a son Rakeem Michael Christmas with former player Rakeem Christmas three years back.

After Michael Jordan finally retired from basketball in 2003, he began focussing on building his brand through connections with various brands such as Nike, Coca Cola and began investing. He became the majority owner of his hometown franchise, Charlotte Hornets, in 2010 after acquiring a minority stake in 2005. It made him the first former NBA player to become the majority owner of a franchise. He attained the billionaire mark in 2014.

He, in fact, increased his net worth during the pandemic by $300 million due to this franchise and his Nike sponsorship. His stake is worth $940 million net of debt. His endorsements have made him richer by $1.7 billion. Nike Air Jordans still sell like hotcakes. He is still a figure of mainstream attention with his documentary, “The Last Dance”.
