The basketball world thought they would never see Russell Westbrook back at his best in a LA jersey. However, the Los Angeles Lakers seem to have finally turned it all around. Coming off the bench and accepting a new look, Brodie has been on fire since his return from injury. Showing shades of his former MVP self, he was hot against the Utah Jazz tonight. And the Lakers crowd gave him a much-deserved chant.

Becoming the laughing stock of the league, the Laker nation had enough of the nine-time All-Star. And the new season didn’t seem to change the way NBA fans looked at Westbrook.

Vintage Russell Westbrook was on show. Bullying the guards and making plays no one saw coming, the Crypto.com Arena was left speechless. Darvin Ham’s decision to make bring him off the bench became the turning point for Westbrook. He has since taken up the role of a leader of the purple and gold’s second unit. Playing the majority of his time on the ball, Brodie truly seems to be back. Scoring 26 points to go with 6 assists, Russell Westbrook shot 60% from three, a rare accomplishment for him.
