The greatest sporting event in the NFL calendar is all set to begin in just a few hours. Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs will face Jalen Hurts’ Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday evening for the Super Bowl LVII title in what is believed to be the biggest sporting event of the year in the country. As fans make their bets on their favorite team, Luka Doncic and his Dallas Mavericks teammates were recently asked to pick their favorites for the NFL Super Bowl crown.

The official Twitter page of the Dallas Mavericks recently posted a video featuring Luka Doncic and teammates picking the teams they believed would win this year’s Super Bowl. Surprisingly, the four-time All-Star ended up making an interesting choice between Mahomes and Hurts.

Luka Doncic reveals his Super Bowl pick

The caption of a recently posted video on the Dallas Mavericks’ Twitter account read, “It’s Super Bowl Sunday so we asked the guys their predictions: Eagles or Chiefs?” In the video, when Christian Wood was asked to choose the team that he thought would win the Super Bowl, the absent-minded Mavericks star ended up naming Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Meanwhile, the camera panned towards Luka Doncic. When the 2019 Rookie of the Year was asked to name his Super Bowl pick, Doncic stated, “Chiefs. Gotta go with my guy Mahomes.”

The crew also asked the same question to several other stars including Jaden Hardy, Tim Hardaway Jr., Markieff Morris, and McKinley Wright IV, among others. Interestingly, Wright and Hardy almost ended up betting against each other during a hilarious back and forth in the video.

Mahomes makes his intentions clear

Many experts have predicted that the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs might have a better chance of winning the Super Bowl this season against the Eagles. Recently, Mahomes took to Twitter to share a two-word message along with a video that showcased the renowned quarterback’s best moments on the field with Travis Scott’s ‘Sicko Mode’ playing in the background. The caption of the video read, “1 more.”

Mahomes won his first Super Bowl with Kansas City in 2019 and he is all set to do it one more time tonight. The Chiefs QB has had a QBR of 77.5, 5,250 pass yards, and 41 touchdowns with a CMP% of 67.1 this season. Meanwhile, Hurts has a QBR of 66.3 with 3,701 pass yards and 22 touchdowns.
