Magic Johnson Makes “Plain and Simple” Admission After His Commanders Get Destroyed in Dallas

The Dallas Cowboys once again took care of their opponent. But that’s sad news for Magic Johnson. While most of his sports teams have enjoyed great success under his tenure, the Washington Commanders, so far, are an exception. The team’s pummelling at the hands of Dallas left Johnson in the backseat. He took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts on the loss.

Acknowledging his team’s loss, the Los Angeles Lakers legend had to give credit to his opposition. “The Dallas Cowboys beat my Commanders 45-10. Dallas was a better football team tonight, plain and simple.”

Despite a relatively competitive game, especially in the 2nd quarter, a Cowboys takeover felt inevitable. Unfortunately for Magic, that inevitability came to the forefront in the second half. After leading 20-10 at halftime, Dallas QB Dak Prescott woke up.

Due to his spectacular play, the Cowboys were able to put up 25 unanswered points on the board in the fourth. As a result, the final score was a massacre, 45-10. Dallas was able to avenge the 2020 Thanksgiving Day defeat, which the Commanders won 41-16 at the AT&T stadium.

Despite a relatively frisky year for the team, Dallas has been worlds better throughout the year. But for Washington, a third-straight loss and a worse record than last year must have the 5x NBA Champion Magin Johnson reeling. Can Washington turn its year around?

The new ownership’s stint in Washington hasn’t started well

Unlike the basketball team in DC, at least there are a few bright spots for the Commanders to look at. First is the continually improving play of QB Sam Howell. Further, they acquired the man behind the rise of the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense over the past few years, Eric Bieniemy, as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator.

However, the team overall hasn’t met the standards. As a result, their 4-8 record is even worse than last year’s squad. Despite a Primetime matchup on Thanksgiving, Washington didn’t impress anyone with its play. And things aren’t going to get any easier with the Commanders set to go up against the 8-3 Miami Dolphins on December 3.
