The Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is seemingly always under the spotlight not only for putting up numbers on the floor but also for infamous incidents surrounding him. From his dad involving himself in an altercation with NFL legend Shannon Sharpe to having his friend point a laser light at the Indiana Pacers team members, the two-time All-Star has been involved in a number of controversies this year.

Recently, a few NFL players appeared in a podcast where they made jibes at the Grizzlies guard in light of his controversies. The clip resurfaced on social media just a day after the 23-year-old posted a gun video. This, in turn, grabbed the attention of fans and made them react to the affair on social media. They had a good laugh!

In one of the recent episodes of Raw Room, Philadelphia Eagles star AJ Brown with fellow NFL veterans Daren Bates and Jalen Collins, and former Memphis Tigers track standout Alex Sweet clowned Morant. During the podcast, Bates asked others, “What do you think the Grizzlies are gonna do?”?Brown said, “They say ya boy [Ja Morant] trying to be Larry Hoover man”, and everyone burst out laughing. He added, “He tough af. He just needs to chill.”?

While everyone agreed with Brown, Bates said, “Young fella is the truth bruh” Sweet replied, “Thats Memphis bruh”

Bates said, “I said that, people telling me I’m crazy” Brown intervened and said, “Nah it’s Memphis…If you around it, if you around it..you what I’m saying” Sweet replied, “And he ain’t got to be around it tho which is what’s crazy” Bates said, “That man really put himself in them trenches” And then Collins said, “They say, ‘Hey Ja, we f*ck with you’ He said, ‘I can ride with y’all'”, and everyone burst out laughing.

Judging from their statements, it appeared that they clowned Morant because they didn’t like him acting ‘hood’!
