The Los Angeles Lakers are stacked for the next season with Russell Westbrook joining LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the starting five. It’s a long list of key players including Carmelo Anthony as well who recently signed with the team. The question is, how will the Lakers align their game with a plethora of talent on their plate?
This trading season, the Lakers acquired All-star Russell Westbrook from Washington Wizards. The deal took place in exchange for Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Montrezl Harrell, and the first round No. 22 draft pick.
Now that Westbrook has packed his bags to Los Angeles, the team plan will require amends with three dominating players on the court. The Lakers super team in the making seems to be accommodating while splitting responsibilities and playing together.

Russell Westbrook wants to work with LeBron James in a synchronous manner
Westbrook, who will be the starting point guard from next season, says he is willing to make an impact even without the ball in his hands. James and Davis are expectedly going to switch few positions with Westbrook coming in. However, with three massive players on the run, sacrifice will be key for winning games.
After the trade was officially announced, Russell Westbrook made an appearance in the press conference. Talking about LeBron’s role in the game, he said – “I’m coming to a championship-caliber team and my job is to make sure that I’m able to make his game easier for him and I’ll find ways to do that throughout the game.”
“As it pertains to ball-handling and all that, it really doesn’t matter. There’s many different ways you can impact the game without having the ball in your hands and I’ve been able to do that for many years and we’ll figure it out.”

Lakers are making changes in the team plan for upcoming season
Westbrook has been in a similar situation before with James Harden in Houston Rockets. And he had rightly stamped his presence on the court despite another dominating player alongside. This time around, LeBron James, who usually sets the stage for the Lakers will be taking a step closer to the power forward position while Anthony Davis will most likely play as a center.
