However, the players have been constantly showing their support for the towering center. She used to play for the UMMC Ekaterinburg club in the Russian league.
It has been one of the successful overseas organizations with its super team. The club is a huge attraction for stars from different countries. But things have changed ever since the arrest of Griner. Now the players in the WNBA are seemingly boycotting the Russian league. And are looking at other options to play in the off-season. With the salaries offered in the WNBA, players often play overseas in the off-season to make some more money. And now Russia is no longer an option for these stars.
