Shaq has played with Kobe and they have won several championships together. He has seen Kobe’s Mamba mentality first hand. It is only natural for him to feel offended that one of the most lethal players in the NBA was not included in the Greatest of all time debate.

Shaq asked the interviewer, “How come Kobe Bryant’s name is not mentioned? I think that’s just disrespectful.”
This old video sparked a lot of Twitter drama as fans could not believe the fact that LeBron was on the list and Kobe was not.

Fan reactions on Twitter
A lot of fans have come to the rescue of Kobe Bryant by attacking LeBron James. They could not believe that LeBron, a player younger than him, is being considered for the debate.
It’s important to note that Bryant wasn’t even in most Top-10 lists prior to his death. I, too, always wondered how LeBron leapfrogged him into GOAT talks, when he himself wasn’t even considered Top-10. Kobe undoubtedly has the greater killer instinct between the two. pic.twitter.com/3XfUDWwbJH

Many fans have also said that LeBron is ahead in the Greatest of all time race since he understands the politics of the sport. Fans have said that he pushes his agenda through media houses to give an impression of him creating a legacy.
When you cant be the best, you buy the narrative. Rich Paul and Lebron have bought ESPN journos to expedite their agenda week in week out creating a narrative around himself and his "legacy".Rachel Nichols in her tape was speaking to a Lebron management team member. Shes just one

However, a lot of fans have appreciated LeBron’s game. They believe that LeBron is actually ahead of Kobe. Be it statistics or the killer instinct, LeBron is an exceptional player.

However, the hate on LeBron on Twitter is too much. Fans have resorted to saying that he does not even deserve to be in the greatest of all-time debate.
LeBron isn't even in the conversation. He's an all time great, but not even close to Kobe, who is arguably #2.
MJ is the 🐐 https://t.co/AVPZ3NNguL— a Dude's Nerdery (@adudesnerdery) February 5, 2022
Many fans have respectfully stated that they appreciate LeBron. However, Kobe is greater in their opinion. Everyone has subjective opinions, but that does not mean they do not respect the other player.
Jordan & Kobe has always been 1A & 1B
It’s literally statistical people who didn’t watch Kobe play who overlook him. But players knew what’s up. After them, it’s LeBron (I’m not debating this either) IT IS MY OPINION & respect them all https://t.co/d7ltilNmkK— (Raquel) KOBE 🖤🐍 (@SOULbeautifulme) February 5, 2022

Many fans have gone on a completely different tangent. They believe that the greatest of all time debate should also include players like Tim Duncan. However, fans believe that spectators are not ready for this conversation.

Kobe has a huge fan following and fans love him. They will obviously come to his defense if he is snubbed from the greatest of all-time debate. However, it is important to respect both players. LeBron is creating history right now, and fans are also grateful that they are witnessing it.
