“Slap in the Face to MJ”: Stephen Curry Fans Go Berserk As 5x NBA Champion Makes Audacious Michael Jordan Claim
The league, since its inception, has seen several players dominate the hardwood over the years. However, it has perhaps never produced another player like the great Michael Jordan. MJ was in a league of his own among all the stalwarts. However, recently, the greatest shooter of all time, Stephen Curry, drew comparisons with the 14x All-Star from a five-time NBA champion. Meanwhile, the words of comparison from the five-time champion grabbed fans’ attention on social media and made them reflect on the audacious claim.
Curry is one of the most elite basketball players ever, who is surely in the league of greats. However, getting compared with MJ is an accomplishment in and of itself. In the post-game conference after the game against the Washington Wizards, Kerr compared Curry with Jordan. During the sit-down, one interviewer asked how it felt like to get the home crowd of Washington in favor of the four-time champion and the Warriors. In reply, the 57-year-old boldly said, “[Steph]He’s the modern MJ. I used to see playing with Bulls, half the crowd’s got red 23 jerseys on and now half the crowd’s got blue and yellow 30 jerseys.”

Last night, Curry put on a show against the Wizards. The Baby-Faced Assassin dropped big numbers for the first time last night since making his return on the court following his shoulder injury. The Dubs guard aided the 118-127 win over the Wizards by dropping 41 points and dishing out two assists. Apart from that, he also grabbed seven rebounds. With this win, the Warriors currently sit in the seventh position in the Western Conference table with a .500 percentage.
