‘NBA on TNT’ returned last night as the regular season finally resumed after the All-Star break ended. With around 25 games left for each team, the crew seemingly thought they would start the second half of the season strong. However, that didn’t happen as NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal didn’t appear on last night’s episode. Moreover, Philadelphia 76ers legend, Charles Barkley and the rest of the crew of ‘NBA on TNT’ didn’t buy Shaq’s excuse and proceeded to roast the 4x NBA champion.

The crew didn’t believe Shaquille O’Neal was sick

On last night’s episode, everybody from Charles Barkley to Ernie Johnson to Kenny Smith had something to say. During the episode, Johnson notified everyone that Shaq hasn’t appeared as he was not feeling well. However, the Sixers legend doubted Shaq’s excuse and believed there might be another reason for his absence. He said, “Poor baby. Just go down the street, you’ll see him, at the hookah bar.”

Subsequently, Smith joined in and even called the four-time champion an idiot. He said, “If he took off and stayed in Atlanta, he’s an idiot… He’s not sick. He’s Superman. Superman doesn’t get sick.”

Thereafter, Johnson chimed in and took a dig at the 3x Finals MVP by saying, “Hey Shaq, man up. Come on man, I know this is backbreaking work, but come on, man!”

Shaq was reportedly sick, but O’Neal’s co-hosts didn’t seem to care and instead mocked the Big Diesel.
