The defending champions Golden State Warriors have had a tough run so far this season. Despite having a strong roster, the team continues to struggle on the road. Apart from the away-game issues, the team has constantly suffered from injuries. However, the Dubs breathed a fresh air of relief as they put an end to an 11-game losing streak on the road along with two promising injury updates. Amid all the chaos, the Dubs superstar Stephen Curry revealed the mood in the camp after the Monday night victory.

The Warriors are currently the sixth seed of the Western Conference with a 37-36 record. The increased competition for the 5th and 6th spots has left the Dubs swinging for a spot in the playoffs. Notably, the poor road record of 8-29 is the major reason for the Warriors’ disappointing run this season. Additionally, the team has struggled with multiple injuries this season, especially Curry’s two major injury breaks. However, the team’s two injured stars Andre Iguodala and Gary Payton II could soon return to the roster, as per a recent update.

Curry further spoke about his expectation to finish the regular season on a high and look for a spot in the playoffs. Even though he sounded demotivated during his interaction, the star still gave hope to the Dubnation at the end. He added, “Play the best basketball of the year and we have to stay locked in on that.

Injury returnees could bolster the roster

As the Dubs have 9 games left in the regular season, they require a completely healthy roster to step into the postseason. While Andre Iguodala will probably miss the first few games of the Playoffs, if they make it, Gary Payton II could return much earlier than that.
