Stephen Curry Once Made Bizarre Statement on Moon Landing Which Prompted a Special Invite From NASA to Prove Him Wrong

The NBA players use their platform to advocate for social rights and issues that are close to them. But they are also susceptible to making some questionable sometimes. Even the great Stephen Curry once make a bizarre statement about the moon landing, which caused NASA to invite him to one of their camps.

Back in 2018, when the Golden State Warriors were chasing their second title in a row, Curry went on a podcast with his teammate Andre Iguodala. And his comments on the show left viewers and fans stunned. Curry was talking about basketball, life outside of basketball, and other stuff, but he somehow ended on the moon landing topic.

Curry asked the group, “If we’ve ever been to the moon,” and he got a unanimous ‘No’ from them. He added, “They gonna come get us. I don’t think so either. Sorry, I don’t want to start any conspiracies.”

This caused a massive controversy that one of the faces of the league made such a bizarre statement. Many fans and scientists were enraged with him and lashed out at him on social media.

NASA invited Stephen Curry to check out their lunar labs in Houston

This caused such a big turmoil that NASA, the premier space agency of the world, had to invite Curry to prove him wrong. A spokesperson from NASA came out and said, “We’d love for Mr. Curry to tour the lunar lab at our Johnson Space Center in Houston, perhaps the next time the Warriors are in town to play the Rockets.”

“We have hundreds of pounds of moon rocks stored there and the Apollo mission control. During his visit, he can see firsthand what we did 50 years ago, as well as what we’re doing now to go back to the moon in the coming years, but this time to stay.”
