“The Last Dance Elevated Isiah”: NBA Legend Should Thank Michael Jordan for Making Him More Famous, Hints NBA Analyst

The Last Dance docuseries brought to light stories and perspectives that were previously unknown. It also ignited a spark in rivalries of old that have once again become the talk of the town. With that said, NBA Analyst Chris Broussard is of the impression that the show also elevated the greatness of certain players. He specifically mentioned the name of 12-time NBA All-Star Isiah Thomas.
Michael Jordan and Isiah Thomas’ rivalry is a story to tell for ages. The duel between the two was seen in the docuseries. While a majority of fans focus on the feud, Broussard stated that “the Last Dance elevated Isiah.”

Michael Jordan and the Last Dance helped Isiah Thomas
On the First Things First show, Chris Broussard claimed that the docuseries actually worked in favor of Isiah Thomas. He commented that people like him (Broussard) were aware of Isiah Thomas’ power and skill. But now, the entire NBA community is aware of the same. He hints that Isiah should be thankful to Michael Jordan.
In the same show, Nick Wright claimed that there is a reason why Jordan has an issue with Thomas. He said, “Isiah is the only one from that era, that kinda has something over him (Jordan).”

Until 1991, Isiah and the Bad-Boy Pistons had knocked the Bulls out of the playoff contention for 3 seasons in a row. But in 1991, Michael Jordan and the Bulls bounced back. They beat the Detroit Pistons 4-0.

According to Isiah Thomas, the team was not there to shake hands. However, he said, “To us, that was okay. Knowing what we know now, in the aftermath of what took place, I think all of us would’ve stopped to say.”
Michael Jordan doesn’t buy this. On the docuseries, Jordan was shown a clip of Isiah Thomas explaining himself. To this Jordan said, “You can show me anything you want. There’s no way you can convince me he wasn’t a j*rk.” A feud that started in the ’80s continues even today.
