The women’s rights expert called out people for their lack of support for Brittney Griner. They deduced that Griner was not getting enough attention due to the ‘patriarchal’ inclination of society. In addition, Dr. Jackson stated that BG was being left out due to the deep-rooted antagonism towards Black women in our culture, deeming the scenario as ‘misogynoir.’
Many experts have claimed that Griner would have been home sooner if she were a renowned NBA star with the same level of popularity. Echoing a similar sentiment, Dr. Jackson felt that BG’s prolonged detention might be a gender-related issue.

Do you believe a terrorist arms dealer should be set free to secure Griners release? Because that’s what’s required.
— Justin (@justind4885) November 17, 2022
Exactly. The apathy and victim-blaming around her case is nothing but misogynoir and homophobia. ASAP Rocky and LiAngelo Ball did not receive the same energy.

Kyrie said something about her before a Nets game. He has a platform and he can help with Brittany.
