Ever since the release of the docuseries The Last Dance, fans are coming up with their own theories regarding it. The infamous Michael Jordan-Carmen Electra Vegas incident has captured the imagination of NBA fans for a long time. Dennis Rodman’s then-agent Dwight Manley once unveiled the misconception surrounding the incident.

In a 2020 article, Manley revealed that he was with Rodman when the incident took place. Before we dive in to Manley’s response, let us understand the context. The Worm left to Las Vegas during the play off and didn’t return to practice within the expected time. Eventually MJ and Chicago Bulls coach Phil Jackson had to go to Vegas to get him back.

Michael Jordan had revealed his disagreement with Jackson’s decision to send Rodman to Las Vegas on numerous occasion. Ultimately, Dennis the Menace returned and helped the Bulls win their second three peat.

Manley sided with Rodman on the incident, as he said, “They’re telling this story in a slanted way. He didn’t go six days in the middle of the season they were playing and he wasn’t“.
