Before Michael Jordan began his domination on the court, there were Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, bossing the courts. Both Bird and Johnson shared eight championships between them, with Bird having three under his name. The Celtics legend was one of the best players of all time who took the game of basketball to a new level in the 80s. However, he wouldn’t have achieved anything in basketball if he had taken the job of a construction worker during his college days.

Bird grew up in a family leading a simple life that resided in a small town named French Lick in Southern Indiana. A family that didn’t have the proper financial power to buy a car. Bird, along with his siblings, spent most of their time playing basketball. However, at that time, his family didn’t know Bird would become one of the greats of the game, despite having a brilliant high school career.
