The Golden State Warriors are going all in for the next season’s NBA championship. Injuries ruined their cause last year, and they got knocked out by the Los Angeles Lakers in the play-in tournament. However, Klay Thompson will make his return next season. With Stephen Curry amongst their ranks, their chances look good.

However, they are looking to further strengthen their roster with more players, and Isaiah Thomas is on the list. He is expected to work out with the Warriors next week.

Isiah Thomas might sign for the Golden State Warriors

With many young talents on the team, Thomas would help the franchise to bolster their squad. Thompson will be back during Christmas, as that would boost the squad’s chances. Even though he is coming back after a serious injury, Thompson will be the key player to the team as well. But, Thomas’ arrival may prove to be a masterstroke for the franchise in a bid to win their next NBA title.

After some impressive performances in multiple off-season tournaments, teams like the Los Angeles Lakers did take some interest. While Thomas worked out for the team, the buyout of Rajon Rondo closed the door for Thomas’ potential return to the Staples Center. Thus, signing for the Golden State Warriors might help him get another shot for the NBA title.

Moreover, adding Thomas would provide more depth to the squad as Kerr can rest Curry when needed.

Although it is not going to make a massive impact, it would still be a significant upgrade with the players they have. Jordan Poole is the future for the franchise but is still young and a shooting guard, rather than a playmaker. Isaiah, on the other hand, can do both.

Stephen Curry and co will be interesting to watch

During his heydays, the point guard was one of the most potent scorers in the league. During the 2016-17 season, Thomas averaged 28.9 points per game and shot 54.6% from the field. However, a hip injury sidelined the player, and he has never recovered from that. This would be a welcome change for him and the team who looks to win their 7th NBA title.

The arrival of Thompson is key for the Warriors but there are doubts whether he can start strongly after his injury. Andre Iguodala will provide that experience for the team as he is no stranger to the franchise.

With James Wiseman, they have a terrific young talent who can change the game in an instant. If he puts on a good showing, then the other teams would be in trouble. The Warriors are still one of the most dangerous teams in the NBA.
