The Los Angeles Lakers are in turmoil. They can not seem to catch any sort of momentum as now they are on a two-game losing streak. They have only won 2 of their last 10 games. The concerning performances continue as they just recently lost against the Toronto Raptors at home. LeBron James once again had the most points for the Lakers. In fact, he had the most points on the court, but it was once again not enough for the Lakers to grab the victory.

The Lakers opened the game poorly. They could only manage 2 points in 6 minutes as the Raptors led 21-4 at that point. The Raptors ended the first quarter 33-12 and had their eye on the victory early in the game.

WATCH: Top 50 point performances of LeBron James’ career.

This was the second embarrassing defeat for the Lakers in a span of only a couple of days. This is a frustrating time for Frank Vogel and his team. And as things stand, they do not seem to find any answer for their troubles.

LeBron James was left fuming

LeBron was agitated, angry, and completely done for during the fallout against the Raptors. After the heavy defeat against the Suns, this was another embarrassment in an entirely ignominious season. However, showing anger on the court doesn’t do any good unless it is being channeled in the game. Although LeBron James scored 30 points with 9 rebounds and 3 assists, he could not carry the Lakers to a win.

The referee called a foul against James, and this was his reaction to it. With the team being down by 19 points in the second quarter, one can understand the reason for the reaction. However, venting out frustration like that won’t help the team in any way.

Lakers were chasing the game from the very start and this has been the case most of the season. They cannot catch a break and need some kind of motivation to get a winning run going.

USA Today via Reuters

The game ended 114-103 with credit due to the Raptors for a strong performance. They are on a 4 game winning streak and are 7th seed, very close to the playoff spot. By the look of things, the Raptors have a chance to qualify for the playoffs at the end of the regular season.

The Lakers’ situation is concerning. The wins they drag out bring some hope back, but then the losses make them look like a lost cause. They look down and out. They would want to find their best form now, with LeBron James leading the team like he has the whole season.
