Michael Jordan isn’t the GOAT anymore?

In Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios’ mind, LeBron James has surpassed the Bulls legend long ago. In a recent video, Kyrgios is seen walking away and casually making a strong statement dismissive of MJ. He said – “LeBron’s better than Jordan. Not even a debate. Kobe’s better than Jordan. Not even a debate.”

Kyrgios is the highest Australian in ATP rankings having won six ATP titles. He is infamously remembered as only the third player to beat Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic in his first meeting with them. Nick Kyrgios has clearly shunned Jordan’s prominence and legacy in the NBA league with that on-the-go opinion. He believes that the King is only worthy of the GOAT acronym.

Lakers and LeBron James battled an injury-plagued season

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers departed quite early in the 2020-21 season. Holding the defending champions tag, the Lakers were laid with injuries throughout this year. Bron sat out of nearly 20 games during the regular season. By the time he refueled himself, the Lakers lost their first round of playoffs to Phoenix Suns. It was a disappointing end of the season for James and co.
