Back in the late-90s, the six-time NBA champion did a Q&A interview with Kevin Cook of Playboy Magazine. Cook asked 20 questions to Jordan regarding various topics. However, one question seemed to jump out from the rest. Cook questioned Jordan over the reason players dressed so sharply.
Jordan replied with his theory, saying most of the players spent their entire time wearing jerseys and shorts on the court. Hence, he added, “We want to compensate when the game’s over,” by dressing well.
