NBA legend Michael Jordan and NFL superstar Tom Brady came together for a commercial to promote the upcoming Sunday Night Football of the 2022 NFL season. It will also mark the quarterback’s return to the field after he earlier announced his retirement in February 2022. The commercial came several months after Brady announced his comeback from retirement.

At the end of last season, Brady announced that he would be retiring from football after playing for 22 seasons. He took to his social media account and wrote a heartfelt message announcing his exit from the league.
Brady wrote “—I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore. I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention.”
Almost two months after the initial decision to retire, Brady made yet another announcement, and this time it was to inform fans that he was not done yet.
“These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands—I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa,” Brady said.
And now, with Sunday Night Football just a few days away, NBC Sports released a video featuring none other than ‘His Airness’ Michael Jordan himself, to announce the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB’s comeback. The video shows Jordan stating how much Brady ‘needed’ to be on the field as he could not stay away from it for even two months. The video ends with Jordan saying “He’s back.”

However, many people are not happy with the commercial. Fans of NBA star LeBron James seemed to have a whole other reaction to the Tom Brady commercial, and it is not a positive one.
LeBron James’ fans are not happy with the commercial featuring Michael Jordan
After the commercial was released, fans of LeBron James had a different reaction to Michael Jordan’s appearance in the video. Some even stated that James should have been in the video as he is “the GOAT”. James is undoubtedly one of the best players in the history of the NBA, and it is not the first time that both the legends have been compared to each other. Here are some of the best reactions from NBA Twitter:

Notably, this is not the first NFL commercial with Jordan in it. In 2018, Jordan appeared in yet another commercial in the middle of a SNF matchup. Things took an interesting turn when Jordan addressed the GOAT debate. In the commercial, MJ goes on to talk about who is the greatest, saying that it is a tough call. He further adds that even the jersey numbers are the same.
