As teams continue to patch up their weaknesses, the New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks have made a huge move. In a deal that has taken NBA Twitter by storm, a couple of youngsters and an experienced campaigner have swapped franchises. But as the popular opinion goes, fans have said that the Knicks have come out of it for the better.
Neither New York nor Atlanta have made inroads in the 2021-22 season. Sitting outside the top-10 in the Eastern Conference, it will take a monumental effort for either of them to make the playoffs. However, some smart businesses could be the first step towards recovery. While 23-year-old Trae Young has been the marquee player for the Hawks, New York has been heavily reliant on Julius Randle. But now, reinforcements have arrived.

NBA Twitter goes wild as New York Knicks and Hawks confirm major swap
Atlanta’s 22-year-old #22, Cam Reddish, has been the rookie revelation this year. He has averaged a tad under 12 points, with some crucial cameos off the bench. However, the guard-forward is now set to leave the men in red and black.
ESPN Sources: The Atlanta Hawks are trading forward Cam Reddish to the New York Knicks for a deal that includes a protected 2022 first-round pick via Charlotte. Knicks also acquire Solomon Hill and a 2025 second-round pick via Brooklyn in trade.

According to the reliable Adrian Wojnarowski, the Hawks are trading Reddish to the Knicks. In addition, Tom Thibodeau and co. have also acquired 30-year-old Solomon Hill and a 2025 2nd Round pick via Brooklyn. In exchange, New York is sending out young Kevin Knox to Atlanta, via trade.
