Philadelphia 76ers legend Charles Barkley is one of the honest guys on TV. After the news of the school shootings that shook the country and the world, many from the NBA shared their thoughts. And Charles had his say regarding the heartbreaking incident.
The shooting happened in Robb Elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. It was reported that an 18-year-old gunman killed at least 19 children and 2 adults. One among them was a teacher.
Uvalde is very close to San Antonio, where Shaquille O’Neal grew up. And he said that he used to visit the place a lot and said that Steve Kerr was right and enough was enough.

Barkley said that he can’t understand what could make a teenager do something like this.

During the “Inside the NBA” show, the crew shared their thoughts about the sad incident. Barkley said, “It’s been a rough couple of weeks. The thing in Buffalo shook everybody up. This thing today shook us up. It was heartbreaking to me in both instances ‘What is making young kids do this stuff?’ These last two attacks were carried out by young kids. What is happening in your life at 17, 18 years old that makes you so angry? That you react like this.”

He said that it shouldn’t be easy to get guns and said that “ghost gun” is a big issue in the country.

Chuck also pointed out that everyone in the crew has sent their children to school. And that one would never think that something bad was going to happen to the children. He said that the incident is heartbreaking and that his prayers are with all the parents and grandparents who lost their kids during this hard time.
Ernie said that he and his wife raised 6 children and their grandchildren are going to school now. He also said that his daughter is a high school teacher, and he is terrified for her and his school-going grandchildren.

Barkley also said that criminals have delusional minds and we can’t understand why they do horrible things like this. He said that no one could understand why someone would do something like this. And that it is inexcusable, and it’s a sad day for the country.
