However, it appears the NBA has seemingly found its next ‘chosen one’ in the upcoming NBA draft. Over the past few years, French phenom Victor Wembanyama has emerged as one of the most hyped-up prospects in NBA history. Victor Wembanyama reacts to fake interview
Recently, the global basketball association, FIBA, released a supposed interview with Victor Wembanyama on its website. Needless to say, amid all the frenzy and hype, who would not want to benefit from using the 19-year-old’s name? However, unbeknown to them, it turned out that the interview they received was not real and was completely fake.
Reportedly, FIBA received the interview from a long-time French correspondent. Consequently, little to no oversight was assumed due to their trust in the reporter. But this cost them big time; instead of driving traffic to their cause, they ended up in the middle of a disaster.
