To everyone’s surprise, Team USA slipped in two exhibition match losses. Adding to the misery, France defeated them in a shocking opening game by 83-76.

The USA will lock horns with France in the gold medal match. This power-packed final is on Friday, August 6, 2021, at 10:30 p.m. ET. The game will air live on NBC and NBC Sports App.

Kevin Durant has led his team with example during this Olympic Games. Averaging 19 points per game, he recently became the all-time leading Olympics scorer for U.S. men’s basketball, surpassing Carmelo Anthony. In their last match against Australia, Durant put up a game-high 23 points to win the match 97-78.
