NBA legend and Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal and his ex-wife Shaunie Henderson parted ways in 2011. Since then, the Big Diesel has preferred to remain unmarried. The four-time NBA champion also chose to remain single after witnessing his ex-wife Shaunie tying the knot with her current husband, Keion Henderson, last year. However, despite remaining unmarried for over a decade, Shaq was seemingly looking forward to marrying one specific lady.

Shaunie and Keion were in love with each other and eventually tied the knot in a fairytale wedding in May 2022. Now, it looks like the 15x All-Star is in love with a special lady, and therefore gave her a proposal for marriage.

Shaquille O’Neal proposed marriage to a Grammy Award nominee

In one of the recent episodes of ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq’, O’Neal gave a marriage proposal to the Memphis-based hip-hop artist Gloria Hallelujah Woods, known by her stage name, GloRilla.

During the podcast, Nischelle Turner (one of the co-hosts) asked the former Lakers player to choose his favorite artists from the list, containing the names of Lil Baby, DaBaby, Lil Durk, and GloRilla.

In reply, instead of choosing his favorite artist, the four-time NBA champion surprisingly said, “GloRilla, will you marry me?” Turner replied while giggling, “I just saw your girl on the Grammy red carpet…she looked cute..she looked really nice.”

Shaq surely made the marriage proposal as a joke. The Big Diesel didn’t mean it seriously because everybody in the hoops universe knows that he often passes these kinds of playful remarks in the real and virtual world.

The Big Diesel gave a marriage proposal to GloRilla previously in 2022

This was not the first time Shaq had made a marriage proposal to the now 23-year-old hip-hop artist. In December 2022, the 15x All-Star took over the internet after he asked the Memphis-based artist to marry him.

When GloRilla and comedian Druski were having a conversation on Instagram Live about her new music, the Big Diesel sneakily chipped in and commented, “Glo will u marry me.”
