The Los Angeles Lakers have been playing well lately and are looking forward to somehow making it into the postseason. However, they are lacking size as their centerpiece LeBron James and the newest acquisition Mo Bamba have been sidelined due to injuries. In light of this, the purple and gold were seemingly seeking some frontcourt depth as they recently worked out the ‘Baby Dady’ of Khloe Kardashian and a former Chicago Bulls center.

The Lakers worked out 2016 NBA champion, Tristan Thompson, and ex-Bulls player, Tony Bradley, on Monday. While Thompson hasn’t played at all this season, Bradley was waived by the Bulls last month. The Lakers didn’t want to miss this chance of adding size to the roster. However, their coach Darvin Ham, provided an update, as it appeared neither of them was able to dazzle him. These remarks of Ham soon elicited fans’ attention and prompted them to reflect on the affair on social media.

Darvin Ham downplayed the possibility of the Lakers signing the duo

ESPN?reporter Dave McMenamin recently revealed Ham’s comments about the free agents through a tweet. The 49-year-old coach said that the Lakers have “no imminent plans’ to sign the two big men. Moreover, he confessed that the purple and gold are just “doing their due diligence.”

Thompson played 57 games for three teams: Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings, and Chicago Bulls in the 2021-22 season. The 32-year-old averaged six points and 5.1 rebounds last year. Following that season, he has not played a single game in the league and has been working as an occasional analyst for ESPN.
