Before his recent fallout with Adidas, Kanye West was arguably their biggest star. Yeezy had created a revolution in streetwear with the company alone rising to over a billion dollars. However, before his life-changing deal with the German brand, West was a member of Nike. Notably, his first Yeezy came out with the brand. And even years after their fallout, a fan caught a snap of the rapper wearing a pair of the swoosh. While it wasn’t a Michael Jordan shoe, his son, Marcus still wasn’t happy with the fans for capturing West in his private space.
West became an enemy of Nike when their relationship fell apart. The Donda rapper wanted to bring his creations to the world. Likewise, he wanted royalties for his shoes. However, Nike refused, and that became the main catalyst for their break up. After leaving the brand, West constantly attacked them, even making a track to diss them.

However, even the 45-year-old couldn’t keep his feet off a Nike shoe in 2019. And fans caught him in the act red-handed. However, Marcus Jordan had some words of criticism for them.
Kanye West finally gets Michael Jordan on his side?
West and Michael Jordan have had a heated relationship after one of his lyrics might have hurt His Airness. As a competitive juggernaut, when Jordan heard “Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman”, he was probably extremely upset. At least Kanye West believes so as the pair have never gotten in the room together. However, their beef didn’t stop MJ’s son, Marcus from defending the iconic music artist after fans caught him in a pair of Nikes.
Notably, Kanye West was pictured in a Nike ISPA Air Max 720 while with his daughter. The photograph quickly spread everywhere with many questioning West’s partnerships with Nike. But Marcus Jordan was of a different opinion. He didn’t see anything wrong in West trying out a Nike sneaker. Moreover, he was upset with the fans for circulating the picture.

He said: “Well, you got to be educated on it. What I don’t like is whoever snapped his picture and then posted it.”
While Kanye didn’t land in any trouble with Nike back then, the times have changed now. Recently, West came under the fire after making certain antisemitic remarks. Many of his partners cut ties with him, including Adidas. This might mark the end of an era of Yeezy sneakers under the German brand. But with Kanye West’s history, he will probably find a way to bring out his latest creations to the market.
