Clearly, the man gave fans several moments to remember while playing against legends such as Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Hakeem Olajuwon. Barkley’s mother recounted in an interview the most embarrassing moment of her son’s life as a child. This was the Superman incident where he jumped off the roof of the projects in an attempt to fly like Superman, only to make a trip to the hospital due to a concussion.

“We were living in the projects, and he made him a cape out of a towel, out of a bathroom towel, and he got on top of the project. I don’t know how he got on top, but he tried to fly like Superman and he was blessed and lucky because he got a concussion,” said Barkley’s mother.

“We carried him to the doctor, and he had a concussion from trying to fly like Superman,” she added.

Despite being diagnosed with a concussion, he recovered and remained healthy, and was able to dominate the league in the years to come. Regardless of that fact, this incident clearly was a funny moment in Barkley’s life.
