Young Timberwolves Star Reveals Fearless Approach While Taking on Lebron James and Kevin Durant

A player’s mentality is critical for progressing in the sport of basketball. Moreover. in a competitive league like the NBA, even a minor change makes a big difference. Every outstanding player like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James had had the attitude to go after the best players. And it seems that mentality isn’t lost. While the Timberwolves are having a great season themselves, they also have yet another young star brewing under their noses.

Anthony Edwards is only a sophomore in the league. However, he has shown flashes of his scoring supremacy. The second-year guard has put up some serious performances and improved a lot since his rookie season. Even coming into the NBA, Edwards has had the mentality to excel in whatever he does. He was a two-sport athlete, as he also played football in college. Despite being young, he has no fear in his game.

Anthony Edwards is not afraid of LeBron James or Kevin Durant

The Timberwolves recently dismantled the LeBron-led Lakers in a 20 point blowout win. Likewise, Ant was on top of his game as he scored 27 points in the win. After the game, Edwards sat down with the media and spoke about playing against the King. His answer sent shock waves all around. Edwards said when he goes up against guys like LeBron or KD; he is going to take it straight at them.

He said: “Any time I see one of those GOATs in front of me, I’m trying to go at them. Every time. I’m not passing. That’s what’s in my mind. Every time I see a LeBron, Kevin Durant, everybody in that category, I’m trying to go at them.”

Edwards is only 20 years old. However, his mentality is of a veteran in this league. Being a new star in the league hasn’t slowed him down in any way. His fearlessness has allowed him to propel and improve in every facet of his game. Edwards has become a much more reliable scorer for the Wolves, who already have two players capable of making the opposition’s life hell. And the rise of Edwards only raises the ceiling on the KAT-Russell-Ant trio.”
