The game between the Rockets and the Warriors today seemed like a one-sided affair. However, the Rockets gave a pretty tough competition to the Warriors. Nonetheless, the Warriors won the game by 14 points. The final score was 108-122 in favor of the Warriors.

Stephen Curry and Kevin Porter Jr. were spotted talking to each other after the game. Steph later revealed that Kevin Porter asked him for some advice. Moreover, in an interview after the game, Steph also revealed his opinions of Kevin Porter Jr. Steph believes that Kevin has a lot of competitiveness in him and that makes him a unique talent.

Kevin Porter Jr. played a solid game today as he ended up managing a double-double on the stat sheet. He scored 17 points along with 11 assists and 1 rebound. However, this was in no comparison to Curry’s 40 points, 9 assists, and 5 rebounds. Hence the difference in the score sheet.

Kevin Porter Jr. did not score much in the first half today. He spent most of his time looking for assists and playmaking in the first two quarters. Kevin stepped up offensively in the second quarter. He scored 4 3-pointers in the last 2 quarters which brought the Rockets close to the Warriors a few times. However, it was not enough as Curry was scoring like a machine today.

Kevin Porter Jr. displayed his competitiveness today by trash-talking Curry in the middle of the game. Curry can be seen totally unbothered by the trash-talk. However, Curry appreciated the fact that Kevin tried to get into his head. That is what showed Curry his competitiveness.

Kevin Porter Jr. in the current season 

The Houston Rockets have good players and young talent. They possess players like Jalen Green, Christian Wood, and Kevin Porter Jr. who are all unique players. However, all of these players are young and have not had much success yet. The Rockets’ current record is 14-36.

The Rockets lost today’s game in their home court, Toyota Centre. This loss makes it their 11th straight home-court loss. They are currently number 15 in the Western Conference, with no scope of getting into the playoffs.

Kevin Porter Jr. has averaged 13.3 points, 6.2 assists, and 4.1 rebounds this season. He plays an average of 30 minutes per game, so these stats are not extremely impressive. Over the course of the last year, his game has also deteriorated. Compared to last season, Kevin is scoring fewer points this season, on a worse shooting percentage.

He has been dubbed the next James Harden’ because of his scoring ability. However, he has a lot of room to improve.
