Even before stepping foot in the NBA, Shaquille O’Neal was one of the most marketable stars. Dominating from his days with LSU, the number one pick had brands lined up. Likewise, he ended up signing a multi-year deal with Reebok.  Giving rise to his signature line, the Big Diesel’s era had only begun. However, a single exchange with a woman made Shaq refuse a $50 million offer.

As the Shaq Attack and Shaqnosis became hits, the Los Angeles Lakers legend found fame. On his $15 million contract, one day Shaq encountered an angry lady. Urging him to make affordable shoes, the former MVP had a switch of heart. After his contract expired, Shaq focused on making the most affordable shoes for the poor. Going to his favorite store, Walmart, Shaq has sold over $400 million pairs of shoes.
