A mere few days following his retirement, he revealed his desire to acquire a minority ownership stake in the Miami Heat. During an interview where the host asked about his aspirations, the athlete affectionately discussed the ongoing developments. He noted that the entire endeavor is currently in progress and could soon come to fruition. The 3x champion also underscored the significance of diligently pursuing one’s dreams. To the delight of his fans, he hinted at discussions he had with the father-son duo owners of the team. While he possesses extensive experience as an athlete, he acknowledged the need to further educate himself about the role. Financial considerations also come into play, as NBA regulations mandate that an ownership stake must be at least 1 percent. Given the Heat’s valuation exceeding $2 billion, a 1 percent stake would likely require an investment of at least $20 million.
