Both of those attributes were on full display as he threw a beautiful fundraiser. Through ‘The Shaq Foundation’, the 2000 NBA MVP remains closely connected with his philanthropic endeavors.

One of their primary shows is The Event,?now running for a third consecutive year. While the show is known for roping in big money, this year was special with the big man leading from the front.

With names like Jennifer Hudson, Ray Romano, and DJ Pee Wee (Anderson Paak) set to grace the event hosted by Joel McHale, expectations were sky-high. However, the fundraising portion was the key highlight for the night.

The Event?has drawn in around $6 million through its first two iterations. That sum, if reciprocated, should serve as a major boost to the joint facility for children in Las Vegas that the event pledges to support. The former MVP has made his contribution to the cause as well.

During the bidding round, the over $400 million rich Shaq was not shy in opening up his purses. For a lavish vacation to Bora Bora, Superman bid a startling amount of $50,000, bringing his total expenditure to a reported $70,000. With all profits going towards the construction of a new joint facility for children in Las Vegas, it metaphors Shaq’s unique blend of music and generosity.

After a beautiful trip around Europe and Hawaii already, it seems apparent that the former Miami Heat Champion is having the time of his life.

Shaquille O’Neal- The Vacation Master

Prior to booking a long trip to Bora Bora, the Hall of Famer was in the news constantly through the summer months. Due to his commitments as DJ Diesel, O’Neal has been going around the globe on an extended vacation.

During that journey, prime vacationing locations like Paris and Hawaii became the stage for the big man to showcase his heart. Even though Hawaii was a tad disappointing, the Lollapalooza in Paris was a superhit success for the 7-year DJ-ing veteran.

A combination of that love for travel and its expression with a fundraiser was a beautiful reminder of the genius with which Shaq operates. Let’s hope he has an incredible time in his next vacation scheduled.
