You know you’ve made it when the mooch relatives crawl out of the woodwork to get a piece. But something tells us that’s not uncommon among Shaquille O’Neal’s kids. Shareef O’Neal was not uneasy at all making a very public request to his little brother, Shaqir, who is the newest brand rep for SKIMS. Like their endorsement machine dad, Shaqir went larger-than-life in promotional content for Kim Kardashian’s acclaimed brand and made his brother envious.

“Damn big time! Lemme get some merch @shaqironeall,” Shareef demanded on his Instagram Stories where he shared Shaqir’s SKIMS video. Ahead of the launch on March 21, Shaqir wore pieces from the athleisure line while shooting hoops.

“He shoots, he scores comfort in SKIMS,” the official brand page cheered in that video. Hopefully they gave him some freebies too to pass along to his siblings.

Shaqir is currently on the Texas Southern University basketball team. He showed that O’Neal talent for making posterizing dunks in his SKIMS fashion, including one over his stepdad Keion Henderson. It looks promising for the TSU Tigers heading into the NCAA Tournament which his dad will be watching from the TNT booth.

Shareef will probably be watching too as will the rest of the family when the Tigers play against the Tarleton State Texas in the first round. Meanwhile, Shareef should ask his dad to share some of his SKIMS merch.

Shaquille O’Neal and his co-analysts on Inside the NBA were treated to a SKIMS goodie bag when Kim Kardashian signed an official deal with the NBA. Ever since her brand became the official partner of the NBA and the WNBA, SKIMS was propelled to success, reaching a $4 billion value in months. But the Inside Guys were initially skeptical about stretching its body positivity and size inclusivity limits.

Shaq, Ernie, Kenny, Chuck had serious doubts the free SKIMS briefs would fit them. However, by February 2024, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith admitted on air they had their SKIMS on. Shaq still seems reluctant to try it himself, but he gave Kardashian a shoutout, “Kim send him [Barkley] more tighty-whities.” 

Kim went step ahead and got Shaq’s son on board instead. The big man is probably reveling in Shaqir’s big endorsement foray. He doesn’t need to ask for any freebies. He could hook Shareef up though.
