The Gypsy Rose Blanchard release has caught the world by storm. Blanchard was sentenced to 10 years in prison following the murder of her mother. She helped her ex-boyfriend kill her mother who had Munchausen by proxy syndrome. NBA veteran Robert Horry recently brought up the case.

Although Horry wasn’t aware of the case, he said that he sympathizes with her on a human level. The 7x NBA champion said that he feels sorry for her that she had to go through all the years of traumatic experiences.

Gypsy’s mother Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard had the Munchausen by proxy syndrome. Because of this, a caretaker for a child, primarily a mother makes up fake symptoms for their child and makes everyone believe that the kid is going through some severe medical conditions. It is considered to be a form of mental illness as well as a form of child abuse. Gypsy had to go through the consequences of her mother’s actions for her entire childhood.
